Happy New Year!

Just playing with Kolo the cat... he has had this toy since I brought him home from the CV humane society as a kitten.  He is a big boy but very laid back and fun to have around.

Just incase anyone is wondering I took these with the Nikon SB-400 flash.  This is an excellent flash, its cheap and can be used to bounce off of ceilings.  It doesn't rotate or swivel, but its small and lightweight... great for times when you just need fill work and you know you can bounce.  So much nicer than lugging an SB-600 or SB-900 sometimes.  It also sits high enough off the shoe to prevent the dreaded red eye when using it as a direct flash.  I use it to bounce almost always and the results are always impressive.

Bounced off the ceiling, I am holding the camera very close to the ground... even 10 feet the bounce works well.
This shot is low to the ground and I am holding the camera in porttrait, the wall to my left is around 3-4 feet away and the SB-400 is set to bounce... and it still did alright.
60 degree tilt on the flash head this time.
