Da Ono Kine!

Just dinner tonight.  Lau Lau!  Classic Hawaiian dish!

For those of you who don't know what this is; Lau lau, a Hawaiian classic dish. Its meats wrapped in taro leaves, then wrapped again in banana leaves or ti leaves. Then its steamed/slow cooked... put it on a bed of rice, removed the banana leaves and enjoy! The meats fall apart and melt in your mouth, and taro leaves add just a hint of bitterness (depends, think spinach leaves).

This particular one is just pork and a cube of pork fat (us Hawaiians LOVE fat!). While it does not look so appetizing I assure you the flavors are just amazing and its

VERY ONO!
